Azetburs Faith as Chancellor
Azetbur was daughter to Klingon Chancellor Gorkon who was killed by General Chang in his attempts to destroy the truce between the Klingon Empire and the United Federation of Planets. Being a Klingon species, Azetbur has human-like features as well. She became Chancellor of the Klingon High Council after her father. The role was played by actress Rosana DeSoto.
Being the new Chancellor, she carried out her fathers will and set on a peace conference at Camp Khitomer where the president of the Federation was almost assassinated by the members of the conspiracy as well. Captain Kirk and the Enterprise crew were able to save him. As Azetbur saw how Captain Kirk acts to save peace, she forgot about the former accusations on him about being the one who assassinated her father. Her famous line to him was, Youve restored my fathers faith. And to this, Kirk replied, And youve restored my sons. This is in reference to the death of Kirks son which is brought about by a Klingon in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.
She was the only female Chancellor to rule the Klingons in such an era of war and she believes war to be an obsolete notion. By the year 2311, the Klingons had achieved a neutral stand on everything under her rule. She declared that she would side with the party who is not the aggressor in the brewing crisi between the Federation and the Romulan Star Empire. After the Tomed Incident, Azetbur ordered the Klingon Defence Force to join forces and aide the Federation which caused the Romulans to retreat. She fought with her staff, armed with an extinct saber-toothed animals incisors. Later that year, she suffered the same faith as her father when Ditagh assassinated her to pave the way for the possible rule of General Kaarg.
