Get Ready for the Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials
The Fidelity Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials is celebrating its 21st anniversary this year. Everyones expecting the best riders in the world as well as thousands of spectators to grace the event. It started in 1990 after the event at Chatsworth was ended. The Blenheim Palace at Woodstock England serves as the backdrop for the first phase of the competition or Dressage which takes place the whole day on a Thursday and Friday.
Pre-set movements are judged subjectively. On Saturday comes the highlight of the whole competition, which would be held over the big solid fences and water jumps in the River Glyme and Parkland of the Palace grounds. The finale of the event is called Show Jumping, which is going to be held on Sunday, at the front part of the Blenheims Palace South Lawn.
Thats not all. There are also other activities in the arenas. The Pony Club and Riding Clubs team competitions are also held on Thursday and Friday. If youre a shopping enthusiast, youll be glad to know that the place also hosts almost 200 retail outlets. For a quiet time, you can visit the palace park and gardens but expect that there would also be people hanging around those areas.
