My Gift is Under the Christmas Tree
Christmas trees and Christmas gifts are one of the most exciting features of celebrating the Christmas holidays. People of different ages find time to pick the perfect tree for the year and the matching decorations. Then they gather around the tree to decorate it. The usual modern Christmas tree has green leaves and is decorated with sparkling balls and Christmas lights. Before, Christmas trees are actually the top of real evergreen trees which are taken into the house or in the center of the community and decorated with candles and ribbons or laces. More modern Christmas trees come in different sizes and colors today. Aside from green leaves, there are Christmas trees that come with white leaves or even red or blue. It comes from two feet table topper trees to something that is more than ten feet tall.
Aside from the balls, the bells, angels, fruits, flowers, and do-it-yourself decors, the Christmas tree is highlighted best when there are gifts underneath it. It has been a Christmas tradition for families to exchange gifts during this holiday. The gifts are prepared ahead of time and are piled under the tree with their bright colored wraps and fancy ribbons. On Christmas Eve or at the crack of dawn every 25th of December, the families gather around their Christmas tree, exchange their gifts and open them.
It is such a beautiful scene to see people exchange gifts and open box of surprises from other people. The children are often the center of attention and the ones who get the most gifts. They would rip off the gift wrappers and start playing with their new toys or put on the clothes given to them as gifts.
