Most Beautiful Mermaid Movies Ever
The most recent mermaid movie we have seen is the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. However, this is not exactly a mermaid movie but a pirate film that only included mermaids as characters. Below, we take a look at the most beautiful movies ever made about this stunning mythical creatures that some of us still hope of seeing someday.
Night Tide (1961) In this film, a sailor named Johnny Drake played by Dennis Hopper meets a pretty lady named Mora. Shes played by Linda Lawson. The two hit it off well until she confesses that shes a real mermaid and he finds out that two of her previous boyfriends died mysteriously.
Aquamarine (2006) This one is about two teenagers who find a mermaid. Sara Paxton plays Aquamarine, a mermaid who ends up in a swimming pool one stormy night. Shes a mermaid looking for love. The teens help the mermaid in exchange of a wish.
Mr. Peabody and the Mermaid (1948) An old comedy film about a married man who falls in love with a mermaid named Lenore. The married man is played by William Powell and the mermaid by Ann Blythe.
The Secret of Roan Inish (1994) Fiona is a little girl who is sent to live with her grandparents on the Irish coast where she learns that shes a descendant of a selkie. These are women who wear seal skins to be able to swim in the water.
The Little Mermaid (1989) On top of the list is of course the movie about Ariel, a mermaid princess who wants to learn more about the people who live on land. She saves a prince named Eric and they fall in love with each other. Its a Disney classic that everyone loves.
