Apple Tree Bloom
Do you love the red succulent fruit of the apple tree? If yes, you are most likely to fall in love with the trees blossoms as well. The white or pink blossoms are very popular subjects in painting or even photography.
Apple trees bloom during spring and summer at varying times, depending of course on the variety of the apple tree. Three categories of apple trees are the early, mid-season and late bloomers. These pertain to the apples and blooms the trees produce around these times.
When warm temperatures rise in early spring, the early variety of the apple tree starts to bloom. Pristine, Red Delicious and Gala apples are some of the most common early-blooming apple trees and these usually start to bloom in early April. The Braeburn, Fuji and Liberty are mid-blooming trees which begin to bloom in late April or early May. On the other hand, the late variety will not bloom until summers nearing its end. Some varieties classified under the late-blooming trees are the Enterprise and Rome apples. These trees bloom late in May until the end of spring.
Most apple trees are next to each other because the blossoms cannot self-pollinate and they need one another to cross pollinate and bear flowers which will eventually become fruits.
